When E. and A. asked to do their engagement session in full wedding attire, I was a bit surprised but got into it once they explained that they wanted to do an extended portrait session on their wedding day, but couldn’t work it into the time line. And so we met at one of their favorite places – the sculpture garden at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln. We had a great evening exploring the possibilities of the sculptures as textures, shapes and environments for portraits. E. had two beautiful headpieces to work with, one a more traditional with white birdcage veil, the other a wildly colored pink and orange hat, which she wore with smashing attitude and aplomb. Perfect use of a pink tie and orange Gerber daisy by the handsome groom. They rocked this shoot – complete with a little dance moves to an iphone in the suit pocket.
