Boston Engagement Portraits .:. Fenway, South End, Copley

Hello out there!
I am woefully behind on getting new work up on the blog. And I'm not going to fuss over that part too much, because it's already e-season again!

So to kick of what looks like a string of fall engagement portrait sessions, I wanted to share some images from a Boston engagement portrait session earlier this spring.  These ladies met up with me at the Museum of Fine Arts and we wandered through the Fenway to Copley Square with a brief stop in the South End for good bricky measure.  I loved hanging out with these two.  And then? And then there were GOT and LOTR references flying within five minutes.  Heaven!

Two families came up to Boston to celebrate their daughters marriage.  I met them all at the Courtyard in Copley Square and we used Commonwealth Avenue to promenade down to the Japanese Lantern at the Public Garden for the ceremony.
The officiant, Dan Castro, delivered a beautiful and personalized service before the vows and rings were exchanged.  After a swift round of family formals we sent the family away so the ladies and I could wander through the garden and the South End to makes some portraits in our beautiful city.  Thanks to M. J. O'Connor's for letting S. jump behind the bar to pour her new wife a beer. The brides treated their family to dinner at the Beehive, which is where I took my leave.

I love the faces E. makes.  One after the other - just look at them!  S. is an architect - and wanted some pictures incorporating architectural elements - one of my favorite things to do. It was a gorgeous and fun afternoon, filled with laughing and tears of joy.

Back Bay Engagement Photography

Early summer and the streets are green, covered in blossoms and perfect for wandering through the Fenway and the back bay.  These new Massachusetts residents were celebrating their engagement.  We started at the MFA and then ducked in the fens for a moment to use the gorgeous flowering trees as a beautiful pink background.  Then it was up through the back bay and into the courtyard of the Boston Public Library.  We had a great time!  These two ladies are bubbling over with happiness.

A quick and delightful Saturday afternoon Boston wedding.
D. and K. came in from Alaska with their parents and sister to get married in the Boston Public Garden.  While the two women said their vows at the edge of the pond, a crowd began to gather behind us.   After the two women stated their love for each other, the minister asked their families to state their commitment to support and love.   They were asked to say, 'We will.'  When they answered it was a chorus.  The crowd that had gathered behind us, around us, the witnesses in this very public place all joined it.  We will.  I tear up just thinking about it.

I was proud to be a Bostonian.
