Boston Newborn Photography .:. Welcome to Earth!

A few Boston newborn portraits on an early spring afternoon with new mama and her darling baby girl. Grandfather came in to help with the first weeks, along with a friend of Mom. The new addition to the family at 15 days old.

Boston Family Portrait .:. Saturday Afternoon Playdate

Some new friends stopped by for a quick boston family portrait this afternoon. My white seamless even got into the action with some sharpie drawings. Love this gem of these three men cooling it.

Boston Maternity Portrait .:. South End

As it happens, many of my boudoir clients return when they are expecting - and we get to do another session celebrating the body - but in an entirely different way.
While I couldn't share any of the first session, I can share these from this Boston maternity portrait session.  Some images from a gorgeous sunny June day the Boston's South End.  A few in the condo and a few along Haven Street - a quite beautiful and historic gem of brick.

And obviously, if there's a cute dog, that gets posted too.  :)

Boston Boudoir Intimate Portraits .:. Accessorize!

Check out another collection of Boston boudoir intimate portraits from a day at the Revere Hotel.
While I firmly believe that the best accessory you can own is confidence - a killer necklace, giant flowers or glamorous hat can also be fun to wear and visually arresting. M. rocked out this boudoir shoot from our start in her curve-hugging cocktail dress on the hotel room balcony to her bare-it-all behind the curtains.

She was fearless and we had a great time.

I received this from her after the shoot:

Omg! These are beautiful! I love the contrast between the pictures. The one from the patio is stunning. I sent it to my boyfriend the other day to show him and I caught him with it as his backround on his phone. :) Thank you so much! They have exceeded my expectations! I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful experience of working with you for the boudoir shoot. I look at those pictures in disbelief of how beautiful they are.

Lingerie isn't the only thing to wear during an intimate portrait session. Before a shoot, I send clients a suggested list of things to bring to the shoot: a robe to wear while getting ready and between looks; a dress in case you want to have some more modest options; some statement jewelry like cocktail rings, giant necklaces or glimmering earrings; fun hats; silky scarves. There is a lot you can bring in addition to lingerie.  My growing Operation Lingerie board is on pinterest, which clients can check out for inspirations while getting ready for the shoot.

It's fun to have multiple options for the boudoir shoot, and I think it is important to have clients decide on the day of. You never know just what looks you will feel ready to rock.

Boston Intimate Portrait .:. Authentic Vintage

Here are another set of images from a boudoir photography shoot last summer.
A few of these Boston Derby Dames chose to shed their uniforms and skates to pose for some intimate portraits.  K. had nearly everything vintage. Everything! She even brought gloves to put on her silk stockings.  There is something wonderfully elegant about the careful construction of vintage styles.

I have to give a shout out to the Boston Derby Dames!  I've been photographing them for the last few years and this is one amazing group of women.  Sexy-athletic-tough- hilarious-bawdy-smart ladies. Does it get better?  I think not.

Boston Boudoir Intimate Portraits .:. Black, White and Purples

Here are a few more from a Boston boudoir intimate portrait session with a beautiful Boston woman who is now 50.  Yes, ladies.  She is 50. She was a wonderful subject, and had a ball at her shoot.
I've been remiss not to share what my camera and I have been up to over the last six months.  It's been a lot.  So the posts should be more forthcoming again. Kind of like they were last spring . . .
